Pumps & Water Systems
A well is only as good as the pump moving water out of it. When a pump fails, a pressure tank waterlogs, or the water just stops, tell us what it's doing — we'll price the fix off your well's record and get you the number up front, free. We come out once you've approved it.
What we handle
Pump & water system work
Pump replacement
Submersible and above-ground pumps, sized to your well and your household's or farm's actual water use.
Pressure tanks
Waterlogged tanks, short-cycling pumps, and pressure that won't hold — usually a tank problem, not a well problem.
No-water troubleshooting
Water just stopped and you don't know why. We find out whether it's the pump, the tank, the wiring, or the well.
Priced up front, checked all the way through
You get the number before we touch anything
Pump trouble and well trouble can look identical from the faucet, but the symptoms you describe plus your well's record — depth, yield, how the pump is set — tell us a lot. We price the job off that and send you the number before anybody drives out. Free, and no obligation.
Once you approve it and we're on site, we check the pump, the pressure tank, the wiring, and the well itself before replacing anything. That way you're paying to fix what's actually broken, not swapping parts and hoping. If the well is the real problem, we'll tell you that too — see Well Repair & Replacement for how we handle that.

Questions we hear a lot
Pumps & water systems FAQ
A pump that short-cycles — kicking on and off every time you turn on a faucet — usually points to a waterlogged pressure tank, not a dying pump. A pump that runs constantly and never builds pressure usually points to the pump itself, or a problem down in the well. Describe what yours is doing and we'll tell you which one we're quoting.
It depends on your well's depth and yield and what the house has to run — fixtures, irrigation, livestock. Depth and yield are in the well record, and you can tell us the rest. We size the pump off that and put it in the quote, so the number you approve is for the right pump.
Standard well pumps run on electricity, so no power means no pump. Some setups can run off a generator or a backup system. If that matters to you, say so when you ask for the quote and we'll price it in — it's easier to plan for before you're without water.
Most straightforward pump or pressure tank swaps are done the same day. Deeper submersible pumps or wells with awkward access can take a little longer. Your timeline comes with the quote, before you approve it.
Yes — most residential pumps are submersible, set down in the well itself, and pulling one is routine work for us. The well record tells us how deep it's set, so that's already in your price. We bring the equipment; you don't need to arrange anything beforehand.
